Although it is Scotland’s first purpose-built mountain bike centre, you can also walk and horse ride here. Nearly 11km of mountain bike tracks criss-cross the Carron Valley Forest. Levels range from family orientated leisure tracks to real humdingers for those who like it tough, and cover varied landscapes. There are testing climbs, challenging descents and stunning views of the reservoir and surrounding areas – but with plenty to choose from, everyone will find something that suits.
