Scotland’s museum of industrial life reopens in summer 2008, following a £10m redevelopment.
Displays range from pre-history to the industrial era, on to Lanarkshire’s massive contribution to Scottish – and world – engineering. Interactive displays and a Discovery Zone enable youngsters to explore the world of science through hands-on activities and simple experiments.
Other attractions include an electric tramway and recreated mine, and there’s also a play park, café and shop.
